ANNOUNCEMENT: Big Paddy will be opening for The Young Dubliners! That's right -- on August 15th, at the Gothic Theater in Denver, we'll be playing right ahead of one of the best-known Irish rock bands out there! So come on out and join us, let's get some rowdy Big Paddy fans in that crowd to show them how we do things, yeah?

We're also still working towards the new live CD, which should be out... well, whenever we damn finish it. *grin* We're as busy as ever running back and forth between the weekly shows, though we've taken the shows at Jack Quinn's down to every second or third Saturday, to make time for other venues. Come see us, and feel free to buy us a bit of whiskey if you'd like. We'll play like the devil was behind us. We always do!

We're also working to get this fine webpage updated a bit, add some new areas and features. We're looking to add some image galleries, more lyrics pages, and a page where you all can buy as much Big Paddy stuff as you could ever want. Plus some fine-tuning and nit-picking. The Big Paddy MySpace page (www.myspace.com/ferfucksake) has really taken off, with loads of people friending us and commenting and such. That's actually a really good place to check for updates on where Big Paddy will be playing next, just check out the "Upcoming Shows" section. We're actually looking at integrating this page and that one more, though that's been made a bit difficult by MySpace's new policy of flashing a big warning everytime you try to leave their site -- if you click on a link on Big Paddy's MySpace and it warns you that you're leaving the website, you're probably just heading here, so don't worry. Though of course you should be careful clicking on any of the comments people leave -- we try to delete the spam comments, but some inevitably slip through.

Another place for updates, as well as miscellaneous ramblings and rants from the friends and fans, is Big Paddy's mailing-list at YahooGroups, which you can find here. If you join up, you'll not only get notification of each show mailed to you directly, you may even get some lively discussion with other Big Paddy fans. And there's always the FerFuckSake Monthly Mailing, written up by our good webslave, full of Irish trivia, Gaelic lessons, song lyrics, drink recipes, and more (edit: we tried that, but now it's on hiatus -- make some noise if you want the FFS newsletter back, maybe it'll work!). Of course, if you just want the updates, then set your membership to "Special Notices Only". Or if you just want access to the mailing-list website and don't want any emails sent to you, set it to "Web Only". Once you've joined up, you can post pictures into the site folders as well.
